Biography

He grew up listening to different types of music and has been a fan of rock music, in particular Robi Draco Rosa, a Puerto Rican rock artist and former member of Menudo. Arcángel was not always a fan of reggaetón; He says he is not his favorite type of music. During the 2000s, Arcángel became interested in the new type of music, listening to artists such as Tego Calderón and Tempo, inspired him to pursue a career as a reggaetón singer in Puerto Rico.
Reggaeton artist During his stay in Puerto Rico, he was part of the Arcángel & De la Ghetto duo. The duo eventually made songs that became popular with reggaeton fans.

Path as a soloist

Arcángel continued to perform solo, working with several reggaetón interpreters and producers on compilation albums. The most notable of these was a compilation album produced in 2007, Flow La Discoteka 2, which was produced by the composer and record producer DJ Nelson.
Arcángel decided to release his solo album titled La Maravilla, in early 2008. However, it was canceled because the album was leaked online in the spring of 2008.

Pina Records 

In the year 2012 it becomes part of Pina Records, and is part of the album La fórmula. "Me Prefieres a Mi", was a song from that album that occupied the top positions in Latin America, Europe and the United States. In 2013 he released his third studio album and the most awaited of the American singer Arcángel. Almost 4 years passed for Arcángel to release his new album which is composed of 18 songs that make up this new album, among which are the collaborations with Daddy Yankee, De La Ghetto, Ñengo Flow and the pupils of Arcángel, Genio & Baby Johnny and who presents "La Maravilla" returning to his musical essence with a pure reggaetón content.
